Who are we?? Read on….

Dave Heimburger – Keyboards / Vocals
Steve and I grew up with music in our lives. Our mother was and is very much involved with Sweet Adeline’s and our grandfather was involved with the Barbershop singers. I started taking piano lessons when I was in 6th grade and continued through my senior year in high school. Through my “early high school years” I watched Steve form bands and thought it was cool and wanted to try to do that as well someday. During high school I was in a project or two with our drummer Erich, but didn’t take a band too seriously until after I graduated. At that time, I was asked to be the keyboard player for Looker in 86′ with Steve. After Looker I took a break and then joined a project with Steve and Pat in 94′ (Balance). After Balance, I was in a group called The Dangles with Erich until 2001. Bottoms Up was then formed in 2002. I’m very proud of this band, the band that it “was” and the band that it now “is”. We still remain a group that consists of friends and family and I am honored to be a part of it.

Erich Schimmel – Drums / Vocals
I’ve been playing for 28 yrs…I’ve been in many different bands during that time, Jersey Blue, The Dangles, Boom Theory to name a few. The major influence that started me playing was the rock band KISS. When I heard, then saw them on Dick Clark’s, in concert in 1974 I knew I wanted to play in a band. Other influences are Black Sabbath and led zeppelin, the jazz drummer Louie Bellson, and a few local musicians… there are way to many others to mention here!!

Pat Sheppard – Guitar / Vocals
Pat has been in many great projects through the years. Playing with the bands: Sweet Cheater, Threshold, Dexter, Sahara Steel, Balance, and The Don Sprik Band, just to name a few. He’s been a close friend to Steve & Dave for years and has played with them in the past in a couple of the groups mentioned. Pat is a master on the guitar (although he is modest and won’t admit it). He has given lessons to people who want to learn and has also owned his own music store in Mt. Pleasant called Guitar Central.

Steve Heimburger – Bass Guitar / Vocals
I have been playing bass guitar for 22 years. Before that, I played the keyboards and guitar. I have been married to Lisa for 23 years and we have one daughter, Brittany. My hobbies include: sports, recording music, Pink Panther and Monty Python movies and long walks on the beach in my g-string. (Threw that one in for the ladies!) I am really excited to the venture ahead with great friends and musicians. I look forward to hanging out with you all and to tip a few back. Bottoms Up!

Tim Carnes – Keyboard / Guitar / Vocals / Sound “Guy”
I have been playing music in one form or another since I was 4 years old. I got my feet wet on my Grandmothers large Hammond organ. What better than a Hammond to learn on huh?
I played Drums all through my junior and high school years. I performed in many state and regional competitions earning numerous 1st division rating medals. Even earned the “Outstanding Bandsman” award my senior year for my years of accomplishment through out the years. What an honor! That was the award every band geek worked for and I’m proud to say “I” was the one they chose.
Then after graduation I taught myself to play guitar. I’ve even been known to throw on a bass and even sing a little.
I have been in a few bands over the years including Flashback, Hush, Clockwork and most recently had quite a nice run with Mistreated. I have been able to play with a lot of “GREAT” musicians in these bands. Each of them has taught me something in one-way or another.
Now I have the opportunity to jam in one of the best bands around, BOTTOMS-UP and am looking forward to the challenge. Thanks guys.
