To all our friends and fans….

To all our friends and fans –

We think you all deserve a proper explanation about what is going on with Bottoms Up.
We are disbanding after 10 years of playing together as Bottoms Up. You should know this wasn’t an easy decision for us to make. However, the fact is that we’re taking a break, to be honest, we are tired (we ain’t youngens anymore!) and need to step away from playing for a while. We’d like to take the time to reconnect with our families and have the opportunity to spend weekends with them. There is always the possibility that we will get back together, at this point though, there are no set plans for that. Please know that we’ve enjoyed every minute of playing together and will miss that immensely. You will never know how grateful we are for all of your love and support over the years.

You never know what the future brings….

We will be keeping the Bottoms Up website and Facebook page active. We’ll keep you posted as to what is happening with us there.

Please continue to support local music and your local musicians. You’ll see us out and about doing that too!

Loves Ya!

Thanks again Grand Rapids

Another weekend down…

Monday, October 24th, 2011

Hi All,
Had an awesome time at the BOB as usual. Dang, that place was packed both nights – woo hoo! Thanks to everyone that came out. We think Lori H had a great birthday! Had a shy bachelorette on Saturday as well as a Bride & Groom — sorry guys, forgot all your names. Hope you enjoyed your night anyway! Again, thanks to B for showing us all his M.J. moves. You rock!

We have this weekend off to go tricking or treating or both! Sounds like there are quite a few costume parties out there – hope you attend one. After our weekend rest, we are back at the BOB for another ‘go-round. Hope to see you all back there!

What’s Up???

Monday, September 26th, 2011

Had a great time at D-6, as always. We are never disappointed when we are there — hope you aren’t either! We’ve added a few more gigs for the year. As of this writing, we are not playing New Year’s Eve… never know though.

Looking foward to heading back to Grand Haven. It’s been a while since we’ve been to Kirby. Hope to see some of our old friends there … and lots of new ones too!

Wine & Havest Festival – St. Julian’s

Sunday, September 11th, 2011

Hi All — The Festival was fun.. although it rained pretty hard earlier in the day. The crowd was AWESOME as was the wine… Thanks to everyone at St. Julian’s. You hooked us up good. We’ve forgotten the name of the Pit Masters that were cooking up some DAMN spectaular food… HOLY CRAP! It was fabulous… thanks for “dinner” guys and gals! We hope to come back next year… with or without rain. This gig will conclude all our outdoor events for the year.

We’re off next weekend, but are back at the Double 6 on the 23rd & 24th. Hope to see you there!

We’d like to give special thanks to all the men and women who fearlessly sacrificed thier lives on 9/11/01 — and send prayers to those families who lost loved ones that day. Our men & women in uniform who, to this day, tirelessly defend our freedom — thank you for all you do! God Bless you and God Bless Amercia!

Another great end of the summer party at Turtle Lake Resort. Perfect weather… great musicians and great people. Mark, you know how to end summer with a bang… Your MusicFest ROCKS! We had a great time and hope to see you all again next year — or sooner!
This Saturday brings us back to Gun Lake Casino — we’re looking forward to catching up with you all over there. Come on out, gamble a bit and have a toddy with us!
On September 10th, we’ll be back to the PawPaw Wine Festival.. had such a fantastic time last year, we couldn’t wait for this year – - hopefully it stays dry this go-round! Either way, we’re looking forward to partying it up with you all down there…. stop by and say HI!
Till next time….

What the???

Sunday, August 21st, 2011

Hi All,

So…. you all know about the rain on Saturday afternoon.  Totally SUCKED!  Got to the Danish Festival, got all set up, started playing, then…. sprinkle… drops… DOWNPOUR… THUNDER …. LIGHTINING…..    Thank goodness, nothing was damaged, we all survived, and we did get to play about 1/2 an hour.  It was great to see so many of you out there.  We were having a great time….    After it stopped raining, we got all our gear packed up and headed back to D6 and the place was Rockin… Woo Boy!    Thanks to everyone that came out!

Next week takes us to Union City for the Turtle Lake Music Festival.  Played it last year and had a great time.  They asked us back for this year.  Should be another good time – lets hope the weather is nice!

That’s all for now….  September 3, we are at Gun Lake.  It’s close, it’s free (unless you gamble!), and we’re gonna shake the place down.  Come on out and see us!

Loves Ya!
